Dr. Hüseyin Kami BÜYÜKÖZER

The Messenger of God was born in the year Ebrehe, the governor of Yemen, of Abyssinia, attacked Mecca to destroy the Kaaba and the event called the Elephant Incident took place. It is generally accepted that he was born on the 12th of Rabiul-Awwal and during the daytime.

“Remember when Allah made a covenant with the prophets, saying, “Now that I have given you the Book and wisdom, if there comes to you a messenger confirming what you have, you must believe in him and support him.” He added, “Do you affirm this covenant and accept this commitment?” They said, “Yes, we do.” Allah said, “Then bear witness, and I too am a Witness.” (Ali Imran, 81)

“We have sent you ˹O Prophet˺ only as a mercy for the whole world.” (Anbiya, 107)

“We have sent you ˹O Prophet˺ only as a deliverer of good news and a warner to all of humanity, but most people do not know.” (Saba, 28)

As it is clearly stated in the verses, the whole world was waiting for the prophet of mercy ﷺ. In the Torah sent to Hazrat Moses; Everyone was eagerly awaiting the arrival of our Prophet ﷺ, who was described as a herald of good news, a warner, not hard-hearted, not shouting in the streets, welcoming and forgiving the evil done to him. In the words of the Qur’an, Hazrat Jesus foretold his coming:

“And ˹remember˺ when Jesus, son of Mary, said, “O children of Israel! I am truly Allah’s messenger to you, confirming the Torah which came before me, and giving good news of a messenger after me whose name will be Aḥmad.” Yet when the Prophet came to them with clear proofs…” (As-Saf,6).

In all the holy books that came before the Qur’an, the future of our Prophetﷺ and his characteristics were mentioned. However, Christian and Jewish clergy have concealed and falsified this fact.

“Those We have given the Scripture recognize this ˹Prophet˺ as they recognize their own children. Yet a group of them hides the truth knowingly. (Al-Baqara, 146) verse emphasizes this fact.

O Messenger of Allah!

“You are the person most worthy of love. In order for us to keep your love alive, especially in our own hearts and in the hearts of all humanity, to serve Islam, “My dear!” We ask help from Allah, who is Vedud, who says. Because we hope that loving you properly will be a means of loving our Rabb, who calls you “habibi”, as well.

Our Sultan, despite our crime, love us, make your loved ones love us and make us happy with your intercession… If you don’t feel relieved with your intercession, how will we be, my Rabb! How much we need that warm climate that you have presented to humanity today, O Messenger of Allahﷺ”

Let us sincerely ask our Rabb to forgive us for the sake of His face, to forgive us, and to be a nation worthy of Him.

We pray to our Rabb that the Mawlid Nabawi will bring blessings to the entire Islamic Ummah.
